English: New Orleans (Sept. 11, 2005) – A U.S. Navy diver, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit Two (MDSU-2), Detachment Two, swims alongside a U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat after repairing the vessel’s damaged rudder and propeller while performing dive operations in the well deck of the dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46). Tortuga is currently moored at Naval Support Activity New Orleans in support of Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations are being led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
